Core spun yarn is usually made of synthetic filament with good strength and elasticity, which is wrapped with short fibers such as cotton, wool and viscose. Core spun yarn has excellent properties of filament core spun yarn and spun staple fiber. The common core spun yarn is polyester cotton core spun yarn, with polyester filament as the core yarn, wrapping cotton fiber. There is also spandex core spun yarn, which is made of spandex filament and other fibers. The knitted fabric or jeans made of the core spun yarn can stretch freely and wear comfortably.
Its main purpose is to strengthen the cotton canvas and keep the water repellency of cotton fiber when it swells with water. Polyester fiber has tensile, tear and shrinkage properties when it is wet in rain. At present, there are many types of core spun yarn, which can be divided into three categories: short fiber and short fiber core spun yarn, chemical fiber filament and short fiber core spun yarn, chemical fiber filament and chemical fiber filament core spun yarn. At present, most of the core spun yarns are chemical filament and short fiber core spun yarns. Polyester filament, nylon filament, spandex filament and so on are common chemical fiber filaments in its core yarn. The outer short fibers include cotton, polyester cotton, polyester, nylon, acrylic and wool.
